The Approach

A team's first 30 days set the tone for the next 12 months. Most teams skip the hard conversations — they dive straight into delivery and spend the following months fighting friction that could have been avoided on day one. This is a full-day facilitated session designed to give your team the shared language, agreements, and baseline it needs to actually function well under pressure. Not just a nice-to-have. We work through team identity, communication patterns, decision-making authority, the Definition of Done and Ready, and a team health baseline — so everyone leaves with a clear, co-created operating model they actually believe in.

We define what the team exists to do, who it serves, and what it will refuse to compromise on. This becomes the foundation for every decision and trade-off the team will face.

Agreement Co-creation

The team co-creates its working agreements — not the generic "be respectful" variety, but specific, enforceable norms around meetings, code reviews, capacity, and async communication.

Definition of Done & Ready

We work through concrete examples to build a shared DoD and DoR that reflects actual quality standards — not aspirational ideals that nobody enforces.
